- Is the job board free to use?
- Yes. Browsing the job board, reading the blog, and applying to any role is free and always will be. You apply directly on the employer's own site; we never sit between you and the job.
- How much is the CV review, and what do I get?
- £75. A line-by-line review of your CV and your cover letter for one specific role you are applying to, plus an interview prep sheet for that role. Everything comes back within 3 working days. It is built around the job you are going for, not a general tidy-up.
- How are the jobs checked?
- New roles are searched for and hand-checked every day, and listings are rechecked daily so closed roles come down. We look for named core hours or genuine schedule freedom, and employers open to career returners. Every listing is labelled fully remote or hybrid so you know what it is before you click. Listings that fail those checks do not go up.
- I have been out of work for years. Will anyone actually hire me?
- Yes. UK employers increasingly run structured returner programmes, and skills-based hiring is growing across remote-friendly industries like customer success, HR, content, and finance operations. The barrier is usually how a career break reads on a CV, not the break itself, and that is exactly what our reviews fix.
- Why is my current CV not getting responses?
- Most UK employers use applicant tracking software that scans CVs for keywords from the job advert before a human sees them. A CV written around a career break usually misses those keywords. Naming the break plainly and matching the advert's language gets you past the software and in front of a person.
- Is Remote ReadHER only for mothers?
- It is built first for stay-at-home mothers and women returning after a career break, because that is who the job market underestimates most. But any woman returning to work after time away, whatever the reason, is welcome on the board, the newsletter, and the review service.
