A fully remote role running a company's full monthly UK payroll from start to finish. The catch: it is a temporary role for someone who already has hands-on payroll experience, including manual gross-to-net calculations.
Portfolio Payroll is recruiting a payroll specialist to run an organisation's UK payroll from home. You would make sure staff are paid correctly and on time, and be the main contact for their payroll questions.
What you'll be doing
- Running the full monthly payroll, including starters, leavers, contract changes and variable pay
- Working out gross-to-net pay by hand and processing statutory payments such as SSP, SMP, SPP, student loans and court orders
- Doing checks, variance analysis and reconciliations before and after each payroll run
- Handling pension contributions
- Answering staff payroll queries through a digital helpdesk
What they're asking for
- Proven end-to-end UK payroll experience in a busy setting
- Doing manual gross-to-net calculations on your own
- Confidence with modern HR and payroll software (iTrent experience is a big plus)
- Good communication and the self-motivation to work remotely
A full-time temporary role, fully remote. The advert does not state pay, so the £30,000 to £35,000 figure is an estimate from the job board. This is a specialist role, best suited to women coming back from a payroll career.
You'll apply directly on the employer's site. Remote ReadHER checks every listing daily, and takes down roles once they close.
